mobile device center update x64

Mobile Device Center Update - x64

Curious if anyone was successful in installing the update on an x64 installation of Vista and able to get it working?
Prior to the installation, I was able to access my HPC6700 phone without a problem. I tried installing the update through Windows Update and running the Mobile Device Center, but it crashes. I uninstalled the driver and update, and ran the Mobile Device Center application itself and let it download and install the update but I still get the crash when I try to run it.
Doesn't
matter if my Pocket PC phone is connected not...same error. I've tried uninstalling the device driver and letting it reinstall with the update already in place and that didn't work either.
System.InvalidOperationException:

Yes, I installed update on x64 with a error during installation. Sync didn't work for my WM 2003 SE (Loox720) I installed fresh Vista 64 and upgrade WMDC just after installation. Upgrade process was completed without problem, but sync still didn't work.
Sync with Outlook also don't work for Vista x32.
Does anybody know, WMDC can to sync Outlook (not Exchange) with WM 2003 SE (not 2005)?

I'm not 100% positive, but I believe sync with Outlook is for 2007 only. Appears that way from what I've read on here.
I'm still trying to get it to run at all on the 64-bit version but still have had no luck.

possibility to upgrade my Loox 720 to WM 2005 )

The Outlook version I wouldn't think would matter on the Pocket PC but who knows. I have a 5 on mine and I can't even run Mobile Device Center after installing the update.
They may still be working through stuff...hard to tell since there appears to be very little coming from that team as far as I could find.
